Fantastic dinner and service. This is our second happy hour experience at the Columbus Inn. Both times, the service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The prime rib sandwich and arrogant cauliflower are my favorites. We ate outdoors and the patio has a great ambiance. Happy Hours is fun, engaging and safe.
Give it a chance. Everything was delicious! Two things were annoying, one being the table next to us were watching a horse race on their phone and had the volume turned up.
The noise level was high. Overall, we had great service and food!! Definitely going back!! Our server, Mark, was friendly and efficient. The drinks were delivered promptly and our order was taken and served while hot. The food was delicious and, of course, we love the atmosphere. We miss the assorted breads and butter as we are not the appetizer types. Large parties near us have a tendency to be loud. The food was excellent, and we loved our table by the fireplace.
The only bad part is that so many of the dishes sound great that it's hard to choose. The pork belly bites just melt in your mouth. Great cocktails as well. Too bad we're just visiting Wilmington, otherwise we would come often. Great place for an anniversary dinner. We celebrated here. Service was exceptional. The manager and staff really assisted in making our dinner a complete success.
Thank you. The Columbus Inn is our favorite place to go for special occasions. My husband and I were celebrating our 45th anniversary. Joe, our sever was superb? Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The CI never disappoints. We are regulars at Columbus. We took a table outside. Patio was overrun with bold mice! One even jumped from the iron fence onto our table.
Our waiter Joseph dismissed it saying we were outside and in the city. We moved inside. Good was fresh and hot. Very tasty. The server was kind enough to ask me if I wanted to refill on my rum punch, but she forgot to ask my husband if he needed another refill on his soda. My daughter was not asked if she wanted a refill on her Shirley Temple, either. I thought that was strange. Considering it was my husband's birthday and our first time coming to this establishment, He was very disappointed That's something like that was completely missed.
We really enjoyed ourselves! The food was great and the service was prompt and the people really nice and cheerful. Great table Competent and personable server and host Excellent food and cocktails.
Always a great experience here and great food. The cauliflower starter and crab salad were both delicious and in generous portions. The outdoor patio was a perfect spot. We were lucky to have a booth table. The ambience is very cozy. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the desserts the most.
Portion size of the entrees was a bit on the small side for the price. Great experience. Great food and atmosphere. Longer wait for food than usual. Always love the Columbus Inn. Great food. Great ambiance. Definitely will return. Good is terrific. Wait staff are friendly and accommodating.
Bartender Emily was attentive and proactive. Overall value is an A plus. The food was very good, and the service excellent. The Columbus Inn is reliably high quality and a "go to" place in Wilmington.
Thanks and kudos! The Columbus Inn is a tried and true landmark, with a great ambience. Unique historic place. Two 4oz patties, melted cooper sharp american cheese, bacon jam, fried onions. No temp - cooked through. Italian style cutlet, blistered cherry tomatoes, burrata, tomato jam, parmesan, balsamic reduction, basil oil.
