Shen has always considered southern Denver his home. Shen never left Colorado until he sought his undergraduate work at the University of California at San Diego. From the sunny warm shores of southern California, he then found himself in the frigid cold of New England where he attended medical school at Tufts University in Boston. Shen found his interest and calling in Orthopedics. Once dedicated towards becoming an orthopedist, he sought further training at some of the most prestigious orthopedics and spine programs in the United States.

After traveling from coast to coast, Dr. Shen returned to Colorado where he practiced for almost four years in northwest Denver before finally returning home to Southern Denver once again and to serve the community in which he himself grew up by joining Advanced Orthopedics.
