Bathrooms are very nice and clean for a nightclub and the drinks are affordable for the location. My hats off to Curve. Read Carefully But Club Curve Rocks! U should check it out! I always made it a goal to come see the 80s cover band but they always play on a night that my gf has to work. So recently we needed something to do on an off night, wednesday night, and sure enough their was an artist by the name of umbrella man performing at 8 pm.
Dinner reservations were at and we weren't done until 9 pm but luckily they were still playing by the time we arrived. This is the best night club in downtown Houston. Last week I was there with a group of friends and everything was amazing. The drinks were good, the food was good, we danced, they even have a happy hour, I just have no words.
Perfect place. I like it. I'm literally sitting here in shock at reading these reviews because these people are NOT lying!!! My friend and I are just getting back home. We are still shaking our heads at the way this club is ran on the outside. There were maybe 10 or less people in front of us when we arrived. We waited an hour and a half to get in and just decided to leave. The things we saw were insane. One of the doormen went up to the mexican guy behind us and told him he won't be getting in because his pants were too baggy.
The guy was like whaaaaaaaaaat, these are guess jeans, they don't come baggy. The guy said well I'm just letting you know that you're standing in line for nothing. Then, this group of black people came and paid the bouncers to let them in the club. They took their money and they continued to wait, while all these white and asian people were paying and walking right in. They had to have waited about 30 minutes. When they asked the bouncer what was going on, the bouncer told them that they didn't meet the dress code and had to leave.
Needless to say the people were pissed. One of the bouncers in turn started arguing with them and the people left. At this point my friend and I said this club isn't worth all of this so we left. Oh, and this group of noticably underage girls walked by and the creepy looking bouncer with the long hair was looking at their butts, licking his lips, pulled them over and told them he'll get them in the club.
These girls were obviously still in high school. I'm from New Orleans and used to clubs, especially with Bourbon Street. I have never been so disgusted with a club in all my life. Been going to Club Curve for 4 years. Sexy, inviting, friendly, non-aggressive and a Woman's Playground. Been to 2 other ""lifestyle"" clubs expecting the same as Curve, I was greatly disappointed. Curve is like an alternate Universe.
First of all, i waited in line to get in for an hour and a half before i gave up. The staff is screwing people over. The club was super packed there was no way to even walk! If there were a negative rating i would give this club it! Went here with my friends because we were bored and wanted to try something new and what a horrible idea was that.
We saw the reviews on here and wanted to give it a try biggest mistake ever. The music sucked, inside is crap, the outside patio is not bad but there was a group next to us that was smoking weed Oh and did i mention that you better wear a bullet proof jacket cuz at one point a song came up and everyone started throwing gang signs and i mean all the guys in there I had a horrible time we didn't stay too long but definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.
We love it. Club Curve - the niciest place in downtown Houston. We love the happy hours and the delicious food and fashion music. I went to Club Curve on a Thursday night. Got in with no line around 11pm. Music was good. It was actually pretty easy getting drinks. And of course the dancing was great!
A good time was had. And I had no complaints. Posted by by michelledavis at Citysearch on February 23, No complaints! Posted by michelle d.
